Some of our favourite faces here at Lore Perfumery, Josh and Jules live around the corner from our flagship store on Brunswick Street, Fitzroy so we’re lucky enough to see them quite a bit. This Melbourne made range is a true product of Australia, with each perfume telling the story of Josh and Jules’ relationship and adventures in and around Melbourne. First of all we love how this whole range smells…secondly and almost as much, we love how being from and inspired by Fitzroy amd it’s local surrounds…we feel like we can almost claim them as our own. So proud of Josh & Jules’ perfumed ode to their long standing and inspired lives in Fitzroy are we.
HOW IT WEARS
Mikado Bark is an Eau de Parfum that will give you a good 6 – 8 hours worth of wear on the skin. A delicate hint of green pepper counteracts the earthy spice of cinnamon, clove and delicate touch of white musk, all bedded down in a cosy bed of woods for a delicious creaminess that binds to the skin for a very balanced wear, true to its opening all the while in. Warm, sweet and comforting.

Mihan Aromatics has been 12 years in the making and you can sense that in the quality and consistency of concept across the range. Two Fitzroy locals boldly attempt to bring modern Australia into the perfume world. Mikado Bark as the name suggests has an aged organic quality to it – like ancient dry woody bark cracking in the summer heat. While it remains quite clean and paired back the unusual combination of spices – basil, rosemary and green pepper just to mention a few, give it a unique lively quality, earthy and viridescent. Another cracking scent from this house that most definitely merits a whiff.
