Inspired by La Bohéme, this fragrance conjures Paris in the 1840s. Poet meets seamstress meets musician meets philosopher; the tattered romance of a struggling bohemian lifestyle. Much like the fragments of scent can come back together creating a seamless masterpiece, the fragments of artists within this tale create an iconic opera.

HOW IT WEARS
Bohémes opens with the effervescent, sparkly bergamot, aldehydes and a powdery, musky rose. When it begins to dry down is when it really comes alive. Ripe, rich plum and davina come to the fore, and then with more time on the skin dusty, earthy woods appear. This stunning creation has brilliant staying power, lasting 8-10 hours on the skin.

We love the drama of Bohémes – it conveys the mystery and exoticism of the early 1800s Bohemian lifestyle, but also its interpretation in the opera La Bohéme – it conjures images of thick red velvet curtains, Persian rugs and silk Ottomans. Founded by its namesake in 1997, Keiko Mecheri is all about unconventionality and the reinterpretation of tradition in fragrance. Keiko herself was born in Japan, studied in Europe and then eventually settled down in Los Angeles, California, where she founded the brand. The fragrances reflect this worldly influence while keeping a distinctly LA feel – bohemian and laid-back, but also diverse, imaginative and innovative.
