HOW IT WEARS
Bal de Roses opens with a waxy, clean rose note that almost feels like a white floral until it has sat on the skin for a while, and then the richness of the different roses begin to appear. The texture of the fragrance becomes more leathery – not sweet or prissy but still delicate. The dry down is all about the amber and the almost smoky resins, which cling to the skin for about 8-10 hours.
LORE LOVES
We love how Bal de Roses depicts a pale, porcelain rose rather than a red rose. It’s an androgynous scent that transports you to a garden full of roses, jasmine and tuberose but has a seductive, spicy leathery dry down.

Founded by its namesake in 1997, Keiko Mecheri is all about unconventionality and the reinterpretation of tradition in fragrance. Keiko herself was born in Japan, studied in Europe and then eventually settled down in Los Angeles, California, where she founded the brand.
