Each perfume in Albert’s private collection was born from a memory of a place or of a person – transforming them into extraordinary fragrances to conserve them in time. In 1936, Albert Fouquet traveled to Megève – the luxurious ski resort town in eastern France, as he did every winter to spend his days skiing and his evening socializing. On this particular night, Fouquet attended a dinner at his friend Nicholas’ château. At this gathering he met Annicke, a young Austrian woman with striking green eyes. Mesmerised by her, they spent the evening drawn to each other – chatting by the fireplace, dancing and drinking. As the evening came to a close and feeling the fluttering of love on this first night, Annicke and Fouquet promised to stay in contact.
As Annicke was to travel back to Austria and Fouquet to Paris, they promised to write to each other and meet again in a few months time. Their letters were filled with love, desire and dreams. Inspired by their planned meeting in Vienna, Albert created a fragrance to present to Annicke. She was amazed by the beauty of this perfume, and from then on Albert would present Annicke with a new perfume he had created on every meeting.
Annicke 6 is bewitching, classy and refined. This gorgeous perfume is inspired by Albert and Annicke’s romantic adventures at the Pavillion de la Guyana in Paris. The gardens were set up at the end of the 19th century as a tropical agricultural research centre, growing crops of cocoa, coffee, bananas, vanilla, nutmeg and other spices. A sensual and sweetly spiced perfume with an exotic allure.

HOW IT WEARS
Annicke 6 wears loudly to begin with then softens into a soft and gentle fragrance with almost a spicy powdery dry down on the skin. We definitely get a gorgeous sweet spiciness in Annicke 6. The silage is moderate, it is more of an intimate scent on the skin, settling in a soft and spicy powdery dry down. It’s an intimate scent that will linger in the air around you.

LORE LOVES
The last in the series (so far), this is the pinnacle of Annicke and Albert’s relationship and their getting to know one another. The classical powdery element, is elevated by the addition of Carnation, which adds a bright floral note. Add in the depth of the Madagascan Amber and the allure of the well balanced spice. It also has Indian Labdanum in the base, an ingredient that has been burned in many temples, including Aphrodite’s, a Goddess of Love, as it’s said the rich sweetness would travel up to the heavens above. It’s soft, delicate and elegant while still packing a punch!

ABOUT THE BRAND
The perfume with history – Eight and Bob was created by Albert Fouquet, the son of a French aristocrat. In a room on the upper floor of the family château, Fouquet created and perfected various essences for his own personal use aided by Philippe, the trusted family butler. At social events his fragrance was in high demand, however Fouquet continually rejected proposals to market his fragrance. His fragrances were for his own delight, his own creative fulfillment and very personal as they told the stories of his favourite people and places. This all changed however, one night in 1937 when Fouquet met a young John F Kennedy who fell in love with his fragrance and the rest, as they say is history…
