Our Top Forbidden Fruit Fragrances
Fruity fragrances are some of our favourites here at Lore. While we love a fresh and bright fruity scent, in the spirit of Halloween, we wanted to put a spotlight on some of the deeper, richer, more mysterious and alluring fruits in our range.
These fragrances are so sinfully good we almost want to keep them to ourselves. But they’re devilishly delicious and we can’t help but tempt you. Come and take a walk on the oh-so appetizing dark side with us…
Elixir de Bombe, put simply, really lives up to its name. Opening with an explosion of juicy, zingy tangerine which dries down to reveal delectable raspberry, this scent is about uncompromisingly going for what you want. Spritz this fragrance, be the centre of attention, take up space, be unapologetically you!
Inspired by human acts of courage, the Purple Heart (Heart of Valour) is a deep, dark, sumptuous scent that is completely addictive. It heroes black plum and black cherry, with added notes of salty licorice and sweet, rich florals that give it a really sexy intensity. Molasses-like, almost smoky, velvety and enigmatic… be brave, try the Purple Heart.
The women’s quarters in an Ottoman sultan’s palace – a scene of golden bowls laden with overripe fruit drizzled with honey, sweet shisha smoke wafting through the air, women lounging on opulent velvet cushions. This is the inspiration behind Or du Sérail. Pick up an apple, some red berries, mango or sweet orange. Take a bite and submit to deep, sweet, earthy bliss.
A sweet, maraschino-esque cherry scent, Cherry Punk is a glossy red lollipop in the mouth of a rebellious soul, one who refuses to conform, who won’t change themselves in order to appease others. Darkened by leather on the base, this is a bad gal cherry scent for sure – starting off pretty, but drying down to become dark, powerful, and sexy.
Its name meaning someone who is overly-confident or arrogant, Outrecuidant is about embracing self-confidence. A strangely intriguing scent; grapefruit, cassis and pineapple on the top, but with leather, labdanum and wood on the bottom. A fragrance you can’t judge by its opening, one you need to spend a little time with to truly understand.
The perfume of a virginal witch – innocent yet provocative, elegant but at the same time sensual. With lychee, strawberry and wild berries, Miss Charming has a real charisma about her, she’s alluring and magnetic, and yet inscrutable and mysterious. With Miss Charming, don’t trust your intuition… if she’s a rose, don’t forget she’s got thorns.
With earthy, syrupy blackcurrant mixed with rich violet, Love in Black is a scent cloaked in mystery. Feminine with a masculine twist, which gives it an intangible, enigmatic feel. Redolent of picking blackberries, their deep purple juice staining your hands as you try not to get caught gorging yourself on the fruit.
A truly playful, whimsical scent, Petit Fracas is a twist on Piguet’s iconic original. The twist? Sweet pear and chocolate, which add a youthfulness to the scent without compromising its elegance. Strikingly delicious, this fragrance is sweet, juicy perfection. Not too serious, a chic fruity floral bouquet with a cheeky gourmand twist.
The scent of seduction, Supergloss is a colourful cacophony of notes designed to intrigue and allure. The olfactory opulence of red fruits envelop and unsettle the intimate notes of lily of the valley, and the delicate essences of orange blossom and osmanthus. Avant-garde, eclectic and utterly unique, you feel compelled to get to know the wearer of this fragrance better.
Beau de Provence is an ode to the beauty of the fig – earthy and sweet, fragrant and flavorful. Some believe the fig to have been the actual fruit Eve was supposed to have been tempted to eat in the Garden of Eden – the original forbidden fruit. This is quite a woody fig scent. We imagine the serpent coiled around its branches, enticing you to taste the flesh of the fruit.
