Throughout the early 20th century, the house was commissioned by royals, celebrities and the political elite alike for the creation of personalised unique luxury fragrance.
Fast-forward to the 1970s when 6th generation Creed, Olivier, took over the house. With the permission of their clients, the house released the fragrances privately commissioned for the worlds’ elite to the public. Olivier Creed also began creating new and innovative fragrances, including the now world-famous Aventus.

Still in family hands, Creed maintains their awe-inspiring legacy by continuing to release unique, high quality, timeless fragrances. Spritzing one of their scents is an incredible experience every time, which is why we love the house so much here at Lore. Below are our favourite and best-selling Creed fragrances. We’ve also included a little intro to their new Acqua Originale range, because we want you to be as excited about it as we are!
Aventus; a scent synonymous with power, strength, vision and success. Inspired by the life of French Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte, Aventus is comprised of the highest quality ingredients hand-selected by Olivier Creed. The scent itself is of citrus, fruits, wood and musks. It’s a rich, elegant and earthy scent with an unmistakable playfulness – a scent for someone who can take care of business but also knows how to have fun. A charmer through and through.
Launched in 2018, Aventus Cologne is a modern twist on the original Aventus scent. An ode to old-timey colognes of the past, the Cologne is lighter and fresher than the original. While it still has the iconic pineapple note, it has the addition of birch wood, rendering the fragrance completely unique and compelling. The perfect version of Aventus for the warmer months.
Released to commemorate Creed’s 250th anniversary, Aventus For Her is dedicated to the power of femininity. Empowering, captivating and of course, sensual, this fragrance is the fruitier, slightly more floral version of the original Aventus. A fragrance that speaks for itself, it doesn’t need to be aggressive or loud to command attention.
Inspired by skiing in the Swiss Alps, Silver Mountain Water was famously worn by David Bowie. It perfectly encapsulates what you would imagine a pristine, icy stream mixed with the brisk mountain air would smell like. Fresh, crisp and totally unique, this is one of those fragrances that has you wondering how on earth they were able to bottle such a scent. Uplifting, refreshing and a little mysterious.
Gifted to her by her soon-to-be husband Prince Rainier of Monaco, Fleurissimo was Grace Kelly’s wedding scent. The perfume’s floral notes were the same flowers in her bridal bouquet, also embroidered on her veil. This fragrance embodies the Hollywood glamour that Grace Kelly represented – it’s romantic, feminine, elegant and bright. A symphony of white florals complemented by rich violet, Fleurissimo is a truly breathtaking classic fragrance.
Green Irish Tweed is the three-piece suit of fragrance – spritzing it on is like adding a pair of exquisite cufflinks or a luxurious silk cravat to your outfit. Worn by Cary Grant, Clint Eastwood, Robert Redford and George Clooney, this scent is classic and gentlemanly without feeling dated. Bright and softly green but never sharp, Green Irish Tweed is understated, reminiscent of clean country air.
One of the newer additions to the House of Creed, Wind Flowers is inspired by the graceful, fluid movements of a ballet dancer. Airy and fresh like a spring breeze, but with the added warmth of peach and musk, this scent is vibrant yet gentle. Wind Flowers is a spellbinding floral that smells like the feeling of love at first sight, the beginning of spring, the excitement of youth. A gorgeous addition to the Creed family!
Love in White is the aroma of summer out on the ocean, the scent of nearby coastal blossoms being carried in by a fresh sea breeze. Clean and crisp, it represents the feeling of tranquility acquired when floating in the calm sea (perhaps on a yacht in the French Riviera or somewhere in the Mediterranean). A truly memorable scent that feels freeing, optimistic and uplifting.
