Created in 2005, Juliette has a Gun is the wonderful fragrance world of Romano Ricci. Born into fragrance royalty, Romano Ricci had perfume in his DNA as the great grandson of Nina Ricci. The Juliette has a Gun range was originally based solely around the rose – like a woman, Ricci says a rose is beautiful, intoxicating, delicate and thorny. The Juliette has a Gun range is contemporary, assertive and full of life. Ricci was inspired by the Shakespearean tragedy, Romeo and Juliette, however the modern Juliette in this story comes armed – she carries a weapon, her weapon is her scent. And she uses her scent for seduction, flirtation and provocation. Juliette has a gun is rock meet romance in a bottle.

A very reasonably priced comprehensive set that is perfect for discovering Juliette has a Gun – an ode to the modern femme fatale sometimes sweet, sometimes daring but always en pointe. I liked having the opportunity to try out all these scents on skin because really thats the only way to know if you will like them on you/if they last. To be honest – not a perfume and gentlewoman were the only ones to my taste but I gave away and swapped the others in the set so I didn’t feel like I lost out. I think this would make a nice gift for someone who enjoys or is new to fragrance – the collection is diverse enough that they will certainly find a few to enjoy.

I received this as a gift a while back, and I have loved trying new fragrances that are quite different from what I would usually wear. ‘Another Oud’ and ‘Mmmm’ quickly became my new favourites. I also really liked ‘Not a Perfume’ which is lovely on its own or layered over the others.

What a fabulous way to explore Juliette has a Gun! I LOVE this discovery kit and it has lasted for months. Not a Perfume is also amazing at increasing the sillage when worn under other fragrances. Have 3 firm favourites I’ve popped in my handbag for ‘spritzes’ to put a smile of my face when I’m out and about.
